- Account details: your name, email address, and phone number when you register or sign in.
- Authentication data: if you sign in with Google, Facebook, or phone OTP, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) needed to create or access your account.
- Profile content: a profile photo and any details you choose to add.
- Communications: messages you send through contact, support, or membership-request forms.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: app version, device model, operating system, and basic diagnostics used to keep the Service reliable.
- Attendance records: check-in and check-out times when you use gym attendance features.
Permissions we request on your device
- Location: requested only when you check in at a gym, to confirm you are near the gym. We do not track your location in the background.
- Camera: used to scan attendance QR codes and to capture profile or gym photos. We do not access your camera otherwise.
- Photo library: used only when you choose to upload an image.
- Push notifications: if you allow them, we store a push token so we can send you relevant alerts (for example, membership or class updates).
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To provide core features such as gym discovery, membership requests, attendance, class booking, and notifications.
- To verify gym proximity during check-in.
- To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
- To maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Service:
- Gyms you interact with: when you request information from or join a gym, the relevant gym operator can see the details you submit (such as name and phone number) and your membership and attendance activity at that gym.
- Service providers: trusted third parties that help us run the Service, including cloud hosting and file storage (Amazon Web Services), push notifications (Expo / Firebase Cloud Messaging), and maps and location lookups (Google Maps).
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where required for legal, accounting, or legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see “Your Rights” below).

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights

7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. International Users
iFits is operated from India. If you access the Service from outside India, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in India and other locations where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the app or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
